THE STARS OF THE “COLIN MCRAE TRIBUTE” AT RALLYLEGEND 2017

SEBASTIEN LOEB BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A CITROEN C4 WRC, SEBASTIEN OGIER WITH VOLKSWAGEN POLO R WRC, MIKI BIASION WITH LANCIA DELTA, STARS AMONG THE STARS OF THE “COLIN MCRAE TRIBUTE” AT RALLYLEGEND 2017. KRIS MEEKE (CITROEN XSARA WRC) AND PIERO LONGHI (TOYOTA COROLLA WRC) ARE AMONG THE FIRST TO ENTER THE RACE IN THE WRC-KIT CLASS. STIG BLOMQVIST (AUDI QUATTRO S1) WILL BE AMONG THE ACES OF THE LEGEND STARS.

San Marino Republic. The Rallylegend 2017 puzzle, made up of extremely selected pieces, is starting to take shape and promises to be a show that will enter ex officio among the unforgettable rally events of all time. 
Interesting subscriptions to the race keep coming and entries to the rally, higher point of the whole event, are still open but the deadline is set for September 28. 
Standing out among the subscriptions requests there is the one made by Kris Meeke, Citroen factory driver in the World Rally Championship 2017, with three victories, up to now, in world races and the title of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge in 2009. He will enter the WRC-KIT class driving a Citroen Xsara WRC; among his competitors in this class he will find Piero Longhi, former winner of the Italian Rally Championship (CIR) who will be behind the wheel of a Toyota Corolla WRC. Longhi in his career also sat for four times in the right seat next to “Pucci” Grossi dear departed champion, a great friend of Rallyegend. Driving Lancia Delta Integrale both “Lucky” Battistolli, several times European and Italian champion with the “historic” and the Uruguayan Gustavo Trelles, several times world champion in the Touring car championship, have already confirmed their participation. 
Another announced and awaited presence is that of the spectacular English driver Frank Kelly, who will thrill the public with his Ford Escort MK2.
Among the aces of the Legend Stars Stig Blomqvist has already confirmed his involvement. World rally champion in 1984, he will be at the wheel of the Audi Quattro S1.
And this is just the beginning …

LOEB, OGIER AND BIASION HAVE CHOOSEN THE CAR FOR THE “CHAMPIONS FOR A CHAMPION PARADE”
Running parallel to the rally, the other core event of this year edition is taking shape: the “Colin McRae Tribute”, together with both “Champions for a Champion Parade and “Colin’s Parade”.
All world champions present at Rallylegend will participate in the “Colin’s Parade” aboard the car (or one of the cars) they drove to the world title. 
Some important confirmations have already arrived: the world rally champion Sebastien Loeb (among his achievements there are nine world titles, every year from 2004 to 2012) will be at the wheel of the Citroen C4 WRC, while Sebastien Ogier, following him in the Hall of Fame, with his four world titles from 2013 to 2016, has been permitted by the MSport team – a very sporty action – to drive, at Rallylegend, the Volkswagen Polo R WRC that we will therefore see, once again, in the special stage. In his double role of rally entrant, but also as world champion in the “Champions Parade” Stig Blomqvist will drive an Audi Quattro S1. Another confirmation comes from Miki Biasion who could not obviously miss this event and will drive the Lancia Delta Integrale Martini of his two World titles in 1988 and 1989.
