WORLD RX SEASON LAUNCH, 30 MARCH 2017.

The media launch for the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy will be held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, on Thursday 30 March. The opening round of the World Championship will commence that weekend (1-2 April).

World RX Championship promoter IMG would like to invite media to its official season launch, where the full driver line-up for 2017 will be revealed for the first time as well as the World RX Supercars.

Stars such as Mattias Ekstrom, Petter Solberg, Sebastien Loeb and Ken Block will be in attendance and testing the spectacular power of the 600bhp Supercars which accelerate from 0-60mph in less than two seconds.

Built in 1991 the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya situated in Montmelo in northern Barcelona and has been used as an F1 track for over 25 years. The circuit has successfully hosted a round of World RX for the past two years, with reigning Champion Ekstrom winning last year’s event.
