THREE MOTORSPORT DAYS WITH A GREAT NOVELTY: THE SUPER SPECIAL STAGE IN OSTIA

The 7th Rally di Roma Capitale (July 19, 20, 21st, 2019)
The Rally di Roma Capitale 2019, event valid for the European Rally Championship (ERC), Italian Rally Championship (CIR) and Zone Rally Cup Aci Sport will get underway on Friday, July 19th from Castel Sant’Angelo, a setting that is unique in the world. After the opening pass on the starting platform, crews will go through the most fascinating roads of the Enteral City escorted by the Local Police. The rally will then live two intense days in the Province of Rome and Frosinone before heading to Ostia city centre on Sunday, July 21st for the Super Power stage and the Prize Ceremony.

Seven stages to be run twice, three on Saturday and four on Sunday, plus a Super Power Stage in Ostia to be run twice in line: this is on the menu of the seventh edition of the Rally di Roma Capitale. The staff of Motorsport Italia led by Max Rendina has been working to this event for months now to be able to deliver fans and crews with a highly-spectacular sporting event.

The objective of 2019 is to confirm and build on the good results scored in the previous editions, starting with the effective touristic promotion of the territory that will benefit from this International resonance thanks to Eurosport that will be the official channel of the European Rally Championship and will broadcast images from the rally stages to more than 54 countries. According to Max Rendina’s thoughts, the mission is to bring common people close to the racing action, in an ideal crowd embrace as happened since its first edition. In such a context, crews will challenge each other in a legendary 1,1 Km Super Power Stage on Sunday, July 21st in the presence of more than forty-thousand estimated fans. Important investments have been done to set up a real street circuit and the circuit will have three pedestrian bridges (to limit disruptions to residents) and three Maxi Screens to provide the images of the rally from all points of the circuit. On Saturday the circuit will stage the historic cars parade, some events organized by Red Bull and other activities that will be unveiled shortly. The Villaggio dei Motori will be back, a fixed and much awaited appointment for the fans of the Rally di Roma Capitale.

Race direction and service park will be in Fiuggi, the city that is worldwide famous for its mineral water. The first test will start from Pico, the town that is a solid presence in this event. Three stages will take place on day one, they will be respectively of 19,46 km, 13,93 km and 21,18 km. Back to Fiuggi for regrouping and service park, the second loop will start identical to the first. The crews taking part in the rally valid for the Regional Championship of Lazio will end their challenge there, while drivers contesting the Italian or European Championship will continue the rally on Sunday, July 21st with the four stages of 7,34 km, 7,25 km, 19,70 km and 11,75 km. The same sequence of tests will be repeated in the afternoon before heading back to Ostia for the Super Power Stage of 1,5 Km to be repeated twice in line and the Prize Ceremony of the European and Italian Championships.
