THE 6th RALLY DI ROMA CAPITALE WILL START WITH THE SPECTACULAR STAGE ACI ROMA ARENA.
The July appointment will start from the capital town of Italy where is provided the famous first stage with two cars racing at the same time one against the other in front of what is called the squared Coliseum in the area of EUR. The race will then move for two days in the area of Frosinone and on the Simbruini Mountains. The final arrival will be at Ostia Lido.
Three super special stages one at the beginning of the event, one in the mid and the third at the end all of them easy to watch for spectators. Then there will be other six special stages to be repeated twice, three on Saturday and the other three on Sunday. This is the structure of the 6th edition of Rally Roma Capitale and the organizing staff of Motorsport Italia of Max Rendina has been working to prepare it for months now. The objective in 2018 is to confirm and improve what has been done in the previous editions starting with the promotion on the territory involved in the event in front of an international public thanks to the European Rally Championship validity.
What really matters for the patron Max Rendina is to bring the rally among the common people in a warm embrace of crowd, as it has happened since the beginning of this competition.
And this is the aim for which on Friday 20th July, after the ceremonial start, at 16:45 all entrants will be escort by the Police in groups of ten cars. in a tour around the town passing in front of the symbols of the Capital Town of Italy, the tour will end in Barcellona Square. At 18:30 will start the legendary stage at the Squared Coliseum denominated ACI Roma Arena. There are 1800 timed meters and the cars will race in pairs in front of several spectators, that in the previous edition passed the 20.000 people. Then cars will head to Fiuggi, the town famous in the world for the mineral waters, and they will restart the day after, Saturday July 21st with three stages to be repeated twice in the area of Frosinone. The first timed stage will start from Pico, the little town that have a consolidated joint venture with the organizers. The name of the stage is Pico Greci and is 19.46 km long. Then will follow Roccasecca-Colle San Magno “Polar Cruise” 13,93 km long, and at the end Santopadre-Arpino “Civitus” 14,35 km long. Cars will then return to Fiuggi for the Regrouping and the Service park and will restart for the second tour on the same stages.
In the evening at 19:15, the Pico Superstage “Ecopetrol”, 2,54 km long, and this is going to be another great show along the roads of the Pico village.
At this point will be time for prizegivings for the crews entered in the Regional Lazio Championship. For those competing in the Italian Rally Championship or in the European Rally Championship, Sunday July 22nd is provided the tour on the Simbruini Mountains.
They will start with the stage Rocca di Cave “Omnia Shipping” di 28,60 km long, then the Monastero “eToro” 12,40 km long, to close the first pass with the Guarcino “L’Automobile”, 11,75 km long. In the afternoon competitors will repeat the same stages before heading to Ostia to dispute the Super Special Stage “Sky Gate” di 650 meters long at 19:18.
The final arrival will be at Lido di Ostia at 19:30. Even here lots of spectators are expected.
