The Monte-Carlo WRC Rally returns to Gap in 2024!
The mayor of Gap, Roger DIDIER, welcomes the return of the Monte-Carlo WRC rally in January 2024 to Gap, after two years of absence. The Automobile Club de Monaco formalized its decision on Wednesday, and Gap will once again be the hub of the 92nd edition of the Monte Carlo WRC car rally. The city had already hosted the mythical event uninterruptedly, from 2014 to 2021. This decision comes a few days after the end of the previous edition won for the 9th time by the high-alpine pilot Sébastien Ogier, who thus became the record holder of the WRC rally.
“It is obviously a huge satisfaction for our city”, rejoices Roger DIDIER. “I thank the ACM for its renewed confidence, and especially Guy de Alexandris. We have forged close ties with the organizers for many years, and the know-how of our teams is recognized. We obviously benefit from an environment conducive to exceptional stages but also from a true rallying culture rooted in our territory and a very strong attachment to this event. »
