Good debut in the absolute tricolor for Simone Miele

Sixth place overall for the driver from Gorla Minore who with Eleonora Mori brings his Skoda Fabia into the top ten on his debut in the prestigious Ligurian rally. Excellent fifth place for Sara Micheletti who, again on ŠKODA was the protagonist in the Sanremo Leggenda-Rally dei Fiori.

Simone Miele wet his debut in CIAR, the Italian Absolute Rally Sparco Championship with a nice sixth final position gained aboard the Rally2 class ŠKODA Fabia Evo.

For the first time together with Eleonora Mori, the Varese driver in the Movisport team led a really positive race trying to overcome all the pitfalls that the bad weather and the roads of the Sanremo hinterland have presented since Friday 8 April.

The times recorded by the Lombard driver and the Venetian navigator are to be read in a decidedly positive key given that Miele was tackling for the first time the roads defined by everyone as the “university of rallies”.

“We are happy because this result satisfies us: we could not have hoped for better given the starting conditions and our inexperience against the regulars of the absolute tricolor. For us this year it will be important to gain experience and from this point of view we are fully satisfied with the sixth place overall and with how the team has worked; the contribution and reliability of Pirelli tires are also excellent, a real guarantee! “

Great satisfaction also for Simone’s partner, Sara Micheletti who as a driver completed the Rally dei Fiori-Sanremo legend, in fifth place in the overall ranking. Together with Miriam Marchetti, the Valtellinese immediately set a good pace in her race, bringing the ŠKODA Fabia Evo Rally2 to the top areas right from the start. Hitting the TopFive is a result of absolute prestige that once again highlights the skills of the experienced Lombard driver.
