No rain on Barum Rally’s parade
The 49th Barum Czech Rally Zlín will be accompanied by sunny weather. So instead of umbrellas and raincoats, spectators should pack hats and sunglasses for the weekend.
According to meteorologists, the whole weekend in the Zlín region should be drought; the only exception will be Friday afternoon. “It should rain, but around 5 pm the rain will stop,” said meteorologist Dagmar Honsová. Participants in the competition called Zlin Bikes, which starts at 4:30 pm, should not get wet, but the tarmac might be.
“No rain for the rest of the weekend. The temperature will go up, especially on Sunday, when it will reach thirty degrees Celsius. The sky will be partly cloudy to clear blue sky,” said Honsová.
Barum Czech Rally Zlín starts on Friday 16th August at 4 pm on the square in front of the Town Hall in Zlín. Super SS in the streets of Zlín and the former Baťa shoe factory opens the 49th edition and is followed by 14 stages in total on Saturday and Sunday. The winner of the three-day rally will appear on the finish ramp on square Náměstí Míru on Sunday, 18th August around 5 pm.
