Although they had their eyes on a second victory in a row, Lancer Evo X team Nutahara/Sato ended up 3rd on Day 1. Unable to catch up with 2 drivers of the WRX STI team, they couldn’t reverse their luck on Day 2. Even expert driver Nutahara couldn’t do better than another 3rd place.

Meanwhile Kamada/Takehara were determined to win at all cost, but in SS5 they shot off-course and wrecked their Subaru WRX STI, haplessly forced to retire. Fortunately, both crew members were unharmed.

Also, in JN5 Class Shinkai and Urushido with their Abarth 500 Rally R3T had to retire the day on Day 1, due to machine trouble during SS2. Nevertheless, Day 2 they returned after repairs and marked 1st position, scoring 3 points!
Although it didn’t help them in the final ranks, they did show off their real speed.

Next we arrive at last at the final round, Shinshiro Rally in 2 weeks.
