Nasser Al-Attiyah dominates Rally Lebanon
Third start, third win for Nasser Al-Attiyah (Q) and the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5: at the Rally Lebanon, the third of five rounds of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC), the 48-year-old seasoned driver, who won the Dakar Rally with Volkswagen in 2011, was unbeatable, just like in Qatar and Jordan. Together with his co-driver Matthieu Baumel (F), Al-Attiyah set the fastest time on ten of the eleven special stages and had a lead of more than seven minutes over his rivals after a total of 91.14 classified kilometres.
The 14-time MERC champion is well on the way to his 15th title.
