ANDREAS MIKKELSEN, A BRILLIANT TEIN GUEST AT RALLY NORWAY 2009

Andreas Mikkelsen, a brilliant TEIN guest at Rally Norway 2009.

The upward Norwegian driver did his first steps on Hamar’s ice and snow in 2009, driving a Subaru Impreza WRX STI from a privateer European team with Yokohama’s shock absorbers technical support.

When Andreas Mikkelsen was a promising boy and outlined as one of the most required drivers — with skills and complete talent — took part in the white Rally Norway 2009 at the wheel of a Japanese machine from Mitaka’s brand, the Impreza WRX STI of the production group. The Russian team “Uspenskiy Rally Tecnica” maintained technically the car, directed by Sergey Uspenskiy since 2006 season is an official STI approved to enter Subaru vehicles on international motorsport — along with Italians from Top Run. Also, having the guarantee of company TEIN, that works closely and guarantees a contract with them to use the Totsuka’s shock absorbers since the end of 2006.

That’s why Andreas Mikkelsen, the Oslo prodigy driver, shined at 2010 IRC with Fabia S2000 car from Škoda Motorsport UK squad that got two consecutive titles in the series. British journalist Paul Evans, the former director at SEAT is the team’s director. Then ‘Andy’ stood out in the four times World Champion team Volkswagen Motorsport driving the fantastic Polo R WRC.

In 2017 Mikkelsen reached a certain irregularity with engaging performances steering a Škoda Motorsport’s Fabia R5 and official C3 WRC from Versailles, gaining an excellent agreement with Hyundai Motorsport for 2 years. These performances made the rising star to develop constantly after indulged in testing the reliable Kanagawa’s shock absorbers on his country frozen roads with the white car number 59 on its sides having a colossal pace, something that will stay engraved in the minds of all at TEIN Motorsports.

Mr. Yoshio Fujimoto must be thrilled to have helped Andreas, a current World Rally ‘top driver’ to exhibiting his superb driving skills between the Norwegian snow walls with studded tires specific for this beautiful white surface.

Andreas offered an original accomplishment to the world with the amazing working productivity of Kamiyabe’s shock absorbers. Mikkelsen, Uspenskiy Rally Tecnica, and TEIN a trio that showed much potential during their occasional racing at the Rally Norway 2009.

TEIN expects that soon Andreas Mikkelsen could test the last evolution brand-new products competing with a first-class car in some international rally event.
